Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness Adopts 2 Kittens After His Cat Dies

JVN is a “kitten girl.” Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness adopted two new kittens days after the loss of life of his cat, Bug the 2nd, who fell out of a window whereas the hairstylist was sleeping. 

Van Ness, 32, debuted his new kittens, Genevieve and Matilda, on Instagram over the weekend with a video of him cuddling his child cats whereas sporting a black “Kitten Girl” sweatshirt. The current additions — who be a part of Van Ness’ different cats, Harry Larry and Liza — have been adopted from the Pennsylvania SPCA Fishtown Middle.

The adoption comes lower than per week after the Netflix star introduced on his Instagram that his cat Bug the 2nd — named after Van Ness’ cat Bug who died a 12 months in the past — handed away.  

“I’m hurting so dangerous at present I can’t put it into phrases, for anybody else experiencing grief & loss, I’m with you,” Van Ness captioned an Instagram about his pet’s loss of life on Wednesday, August 7.

In an Instagram of Van Ness together with his two kittens, the Pennsylvania SPCA thanked the Netflix star for his adoption and inspired others to “#adoptdontshop.”
